David Woodings: Just Hanging out for a Ride
This exhibition pays homage to the Caroline Bay Carnival in Timaru. There is an element of confrontation and anxiety when viewing Woodings' large-scale paintings contrasted against the sensuous, reflective, curvilinear and familiar child comic character forms in them.
David Woodings was born in Auckland and studied art at the University of Auckland. He is a Christchurch artist working in a photo-realist style.
