Cricket: State Championship - Central Districts v Canterbury
The Central Stags play the Canterbury Wizards in this match of the 2008/09 State Championship cricket competition.
The State Championship is New Zealand’s domestic first-class cricket competition featuring 6 New Zealand provincial teams.
Teams play in a home and away round-robin series of 4-day matches against every other team. Points are awarded based on the results of the matches, and at the end of the season the two highest ranked teams play a 5-day final.
The current champions are the Canterbury Wizards, who defeated the Wellington Firebirds in the 2007/08 final.
