Heritage in the Headlines
The Annies Wine Bar & Restaurant exhibition will feature Donna Allfrey's paintings on canvas highlighting heritage news stories between the 1940s and 1970s, and the demolition of notable buildings in those years. The paintings reflect Donna's passion for retaining historic buildings and places that are such an important part of this city's identity.
Heritage Week aims to raise awareness of our special heritage places, and the importance and benefits of conserving them. 2008's theme is RETROspective: Christchurch life, architecture and design 1940s - 1970s. Get ready for some retro fun!
