The Body Festival of Dance and Physical Theatre 2008

Come along and experience the 2008 Body Festival - Christchurch's annual Festival of Dance and Physical Theatre.

Why not come along and take part in one of the 60 workshops on offer and have a go at the Jive, Salsa, Ballroom or Tango? If that’s not your thing, what about the Charleston, Bharata Natyam, Kapa Haka or a Zimbabwean Cultural Dance?

Now in its seventh year, 2008’s Festival is kicking off with a World Record Attempt at the Largest Synchronised Dance led by Wellington’s hottest, lycra-clad, media hungry dance troupe the Real Hot Bitches (RHB).

The two weeks will also include workshops on Martial Arts from international performers, Hip Hop classes for kids, speed dancing and 20 major community performance events, professional performance events, and several film presentations.

The Body Festival of Dance and Physical Theatre aims to marry active community participation with professional performance.
